On job training still exists? Like you don’t need to pay for private lessons and get a degree/certification first before they’ll hire you? You can get hired to learn?
I’m seriously looking to move out of Oregon so finding a job like that in another state would be appealing. Could you point me to just one as an example, so I know what they look like / best terms to use in job searches
I tried searching for welder apprentice, but it still pulls up listings that require pre-existing experience.

Yup. As long as you can prove youre not a complete dumbass they'll take you on. Most shops will. If not, unions will train you.
