As a female welder, i can testify to the fact that women absolutely REEEE when told trades are hiring. Ive had female friends complain about being broke. I say hey, my shop is in desperate need of welders. Theyll teach you. And they say nah. So i tell them to just fucking die then i guess. You want to dismantle the "patriarchy" then u get to do mens work. Fucking idiots.

Welding? Depends on the type you get into. Welding includes a thousand different jobs. Personally, I'm a tig welder for a small family owned company. Make good money, specialized parts. But there's also ironworkers, boilermakers, pipe fitters, structural welders, production welders, shipyard welders, etc etc etc. Lots of variety. It can be difficult depending on what field you get into but most days I sit on my ass and tig weld fancy parts so my job is not hard no. But I also have friends who work on shipyards or do service calls, they get gross and work long ass days but they also make WAY more money than me. Welding will treat you well if you get into it. I can pretty much be sure that I can move anywhere in the country, and so long as I'm within driving distance to some sort of manufacturing facility, I'll have a job that pays well.
