I also just crunched the numbers for what they consider Europe and it's 747M people, because they include Russia (145M) so it throws the scale of their "per 100m" chart waaaay the fuck off.

When hospital staff gets infected by the Kung Flu, they usually get tested almost every day to see if they've recovered. Each of these tests that returns 'positive' to the virus is counted as a separate infection case.

And then there is also the case of outright inflating the numbers, like The Florida Department of Health falsely reporting 100% positive tests from some hospitals.

This is a scheme. Remember when they were hysterically calling for universal testing? When we do have universal testing, more cases are naturally discovered, then they hysterically cry out about how scary it is that we have skyrocketing cases, although most are asymptomatic and harmless, and many of these testing results are false positive. One example in Florida according to a listener call on Rush Limbaugh shows that the listener filled up some form for testing, but when he got to the testing site there were too many people, so he left. A few days latter he received a call telling him that he was tested positive, even though he didn't take any test at all!

Juan Soto, one of the Washington Nationals best batters...maybe even the best, will have sat out 5 games due to a false positive test. Two subsequent tests, which must be given 24 hours apart, both came up negative. My husband asked two of his own physicians if they are routinely testing patients for Covid, and both replied that the tests are wildly unreliable, so they are not conducting testing.

He's not wrong but it's more than that. We have no idea how many CASES there are. All we know is how many TESTS there have been. One person testing positive 5 times should be one CASE, but it is not because we do not track that. This would show up as FIVE positive tests which is erroneously being reported as five cases.

Add in the recent proof of fraud in reporting (Florida for example, numbers reported were 90% higher than reality) and a relatively high incidence of false positives, and the conclusion is WE HAVE NO IDEA how many cases there are.

The testing numbers that are reported are for POSITIVE TESTS. TESTS ONLY. Not cases. 1 case = 1 patient. But one patient can have multiple positive tests and each gets reported as a separate positive.

I saw a promo for that fucktard Trevor Noah where he was mocking the president for saying that, if we weren't testing we would not show as many cases. Hurr durr, like if we stopped reporting black men being killed by cops there would be no black men killed by cops. Low IQ puppet.

Not to mention that the inflated case numbers actually make the mortality rate of this lower because the deaths aren't spiking nearly as fast as the number of cases.

Last I calculated we're still looking at a less than 1% mortality rate from this.

Not to mention that I don't believe the numbers because I think they are false.

Should never have improved our testing ability. Giant mistake. As soon as we knew this wasn't a deadly virus, should have let our testing kits dry up. Instead were doing better than every other country and yet they use "increase in cases" daily to damage this country.

Sure, they could scream about "not enough testing" but then what numbers would they use to prove the virus was real? Deaths? That only worked back in May. People stopped dying.

Even Germany has just quit testing and we have doubled them up as far as testing per capita.

The only stat that really matters is the death rate. Who cares how many have a virus if it's rendered benign by a normal immune system? Viruses are everywhere, and we carry them around on and in our bodies constantly.

Percent positives is the only semi useful metric. Even then, more testing mean a lot of people are never tested because the symptoms or not there or mild. These people are now being tested, thus increasing percent positives when it's not a tree persay of more cases.
