Who the hell needs DEMS posing as fiscally responsible? The Republicans talked a good game about how an enhanced benefit INCENTIVIZES not returning to work, yet they ultimately proposed EXTENDING THE SAME BENEFIT?
Perhaps, but the White House was still willing to extend it. Democrats chose to kill it. So now Republicans don't have to worry about the schism in their conference or dealing with the public blame. It doesn't get extended and Democrats take all the blame. It couldn't have worked out better for Republicans.
