I'm sick of their "Well no one else is speaking up, so we have to." mentality. No, there's NEVER a scenario where it's ok for athletes to speak up about SJW shit. You're paid to play a game for our entertainment. We pay for tickets and TV subscriptions to watch you, not so your league can put on wokeness campaigns about things that have nothing to do with the sport. Your position as an athlete is not a soapbox for your political and social justice beliefs.
But you know, I blame the 'athletic supporters' - the people who pay to watch them, buy their merchandise, etc. I don't know why athletes were pedestalized to begin with, but I truly don't understand why anyone would give more attention to an athlete lecturing them on politics than they would a bum telling them how they should spend their money.
