Benefit of the doubt granted. Fauci is completely right. He knows all the facts and when he testifies before Congress on TV he's speaking gospel truth.
What Fauci doesn't understand is that even if he's right, people don't care. They don't care because they lost their job over it. They don't care because they didn't get to go to Grandma's funeral. They don't care because they probably don't know anyone that's actually died of Kung Flu (hence no real reason to fear the virus)
People don't care and no amount of Fauci speaking facts before Congress is suddenly going to make them care. Fauci has lost in the court of public opinion.
