Did you not like "Shock & Awe"?

7
INK10 7 points ago +7 / -0

Ahh, "Shock & Awe". I remember sitting in my car at lunchtime listening to the radio (I think) Ted Koppel describe what was happening, and I couldn't stop thinking about how odd shock and awe sounded, and how many times it was repeated. That and 911 really got my attention regarding this particular reality we're currently in. Of course it just kept getting worse, and here we are!

4 of my former employers (direct, or subcontracted) are in that list.

Sorry, but not sorry. The US dominates any battlespace, in great measure due to these companies and their talented workforce.

Agree with Warren. I love peace just as much as the next pede and fuck the Clintons and global elite.

But let's not pretend like there isn't a bunch of asshats in the world who would happily start world war three if the US military was not threatening to squeeze their balls into a tiny new black hole that we could colonize with our brand new Space Force the moment they tried any fuckery.

The strongest, most advanced and best-trained armed forces right there you're speaking of, and God bless them all. And I want it to stay that way.

It LOOKS that way...because we have taken on countries MUCH lower than we are...

What I am curious about is whether all this stuff will be a match for an ACTUAL enemy like China or Russia...

Let's see how all this bragging fares out

7

Let's see how all this bragging fares out

Better yet, let's not. Let's just keep improving our strength and leave the threat on the table as a warning to keep them from deciding to find out.

"We believe he has in fact reconstituted nuclear weapons"

Defence

Sounds "good" but not what has been practiced...

If you don't pillage and colonize, then war is a total loss.(As happened with the world wars and proceeding battles)

Imagine a realistic game where you just spend money making weapons and getting forces; then, getting very minimal rewards because there is no colonization and you just take what your opponents have left(which is just destroyed stuff)

Very hilarious to see how John Bolton, one of the left's most hated hawkish republicans (also hated by us), suddenly became their idol because he had some rumours about Trump.

It's like the left's collective intelligence is worse than a middle schooler.

79

Exactly. Publishing has become a money laundering operation today. Isn't Peter Strzok writing a book now...I heard he got an advance on a book deal. And McCabe and Comey? Who is paying for this? Follow the money.

Don't forget Obama's $65million book deal in 2017 for giving Pearson Publishing $350 million to create the Commoncore text.

More than JK Rowling ever got, or Pope John Paul II

And still no book

https://www.investmentwatchblog.com/obama-gave-pearson-publishing-350-million-to-create-commoncore-text-and-pearson-gave-obama-a-65-million-dollar-book-deal-in-return/

Alpinix 25 points ago +25 / -0

It's not corruption if you are talking about Obama, silly. He and his administration were and will always be completely free of scandal, didn't you know?!

2
FuckReddit4545 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have never even heard of this. Corrupt to the core

28
FireannDireach 28 points ago +28 / -0

The DNC, Soros, etc. They arrange to buy entire runs of books, to bolster sales, and facilitate the transfer of cash. Do our bidding, we'll get you a couple million from a book. It's written off as campaign materials, marketing, they'll even give DNC members 'free" books to cover their tracks.

Ebooks are even better, because you don't have to actually make any physical books, and Amazon can fake up a couple million fake sales no problem.

And the best part? They're all ghost written. I'd bet Bolton didn't even proofread what they're pimping in his name.

There are still probably pallets of Hillary, Obama, and Michael Obama's books sitting in warehouses the DNC paid for. God knows how many fraudulent ebook sales. Good racket, if you can get in on it.

8
Mrsattorney 8 points ago +8 / -0

Couldn't agree more. Nobody wants to read these books. I believe academia is tied up in the money laundering as well. They put these books on reading lists as a course requirement.

True, or at least the advertising/propaganda is there, if not an actual market. I was gonna apply to B&N to get a PT job to make some cash on the side, actually. Opened up their website to go apply & the first thing on their website banner was some "best-selling" book about how Trump's ubringing raised him to be eViL & bAD, supposedly written by a woman also with the last name Trump who claimed familial relation to our Prez (probably not even closely related, and I bet she never even met him, let alone has any inside knowledge of who he is). It just reeked of desperate, sensationalist propaganda & lies.

I immediately left. Working at the bookstore was one of those entry-level jobs I always wanted to do since I was a teen (I grew up reading a lot), but fuck it. B&N can go die along with my once-beloved Borders, because I won't be applying for a job to go & perpetuate the propaganda.

It's sad because when I was younger & into my early 20s, I used to love going to the book store to read & add to my collection. I knew there was at least a slight liberal bias, but the 2016 election opened my eyes to just how coordinated the propaganda machine really is, and I was thoroughly disappointed to see that my beloved book stores were very much a part of it.

But man, even beyond that, these last 5 years have totally turned what was already a liberal-leaning market into a total clusterfuck that's become an insult to my intelligence. It's been a while since I've even been inside a B&N (even before COVID), and I am now starting to frequent more used books stores & libraries & online archives, looking for older books so I can read about shit without a communist/far-left spin on everything. Unfortunately, for more current events & developments, I'm left to just TD, a couple other sites/vloggers, & doing my own research via peer-reviewed publications (still plagued by political gatekeeping, but less-so than the "open" market) because the newsstands at every bookstore are mostly full of utter shit. It makes me wish I had more than 24 hrs in a day to keep up thoroughly.

7
unicornpoop 7 points ago +7 / -0

Well the "fine art" sales of bananas taped to walls was wearing a bit thin. Non-profits have too many rules, as do real estate purchases. Book deals are easy to pass that money legitimately.

The primary purpose of the book wasn't to make money. It was to provide material for the MSM to accuse Trump of corruption, which the Democrats would then use to either impeach him or as fodder for Biden's election campaign.

Most people still have no idea why Trump hired Bolton, even though it is obvious.

Trump looks at things through the lens of construction projects. You hire people to perform a certain task towards the completion of the project, and once their task is done, they go.

Bolton was hired to scare the fuck out NK and the Iranians, which he did. His problem was that he didn't know enough to STFU when it came to policy disagreements with Trump. You can't go around talking shit about the boss and expect to stay on the job.
