This couple thought it was okay to throw her coffee at me for not wearing a mask while I was eating my breakfast burrito. I pummeled him but I refused to press charges and ask the cops to make them apologize to me and they did. Video to follow, whole thing was captured on my friend's body cam.

They had no idea we had one. When the Cops told them they changed their tune. They apologized to me, I said "Have a lovely day."
Should have pressed charges. This won’t be the last time they do this and I’m sure they won’t learn their lesson not to lie the next time.
They're likely talking about how OP knew he was in the wrong since he didn't press charges. There won't be any lesson learned because OP backed down and gave them their moral high ground back. They were planning on pressing charges on him, otherwise they wouldn't have called the cops.
The lesson that this idiot learned was one most of us learned as kids: don't let you mouth write a check your ass can't cash.
