I did a DEEP dive into their full rationale for the withdrawal of the EUA use of the drug, and it was seriously bullshit. They searched for uncontextualized examples of side effects, most with massive dosing far higher than its established prophylactic dosing. They didn't list how many didn't have side effects, just that there were side effects and the shitty constructed studies so far didn't show a benefit so they withdrew the authorization.

They still say you can do trials, but we all know that took a giant steaming shit on the ability to use it for the pandemic. What's retarded is they didn't have studies showing it had no prophylactic benefit.

Well you have to clear out the Trump haters at the FDA first since they are the ones who issued the warning not to take it outside of a trial setting or for lupus/malaria prevention.

Can I still get it today in the US if I prepare to go on 'vacation'?

My brother has taken HCQ for 7+ years for Lymes disease. He and his gf were recently given an HCQ Rx along with a z-pac when they talked to their doctor in a FaceTime call because they had some symptoms of Covid. They are both big liberals and virulently anti-Trump. He gave me a big lecture about how they were justified in taking it because a “licensed medical doctor” prescribed it to them and “people with no medical or scientific background like Trump shouldn’t be promoting it.” and inferred that Trump was to blame for that couple that took fish bowl cleaner. I’ll have to ask him what they think about the doctors being completely sensored from all social media for talking about the effectiveness of this treatment.

From the based ER doctor who got fired for saying HCQ should be prescribed:

"Hydroxychloroquine is an analogue or a derivative of quinine, which is found in tree bark. It's the most noncontroversial of medications that there is," she said.

"It's been around for centuries and it's been FDA-approved in the modern version, called hydroxychloroquine, for 65 years," she continued. "In all of that time, [doctors] used it for breast-feeding women, pregnant women, elderly, children, and immune compromised. The typical use is for years or even decades because we give it mostly to RA, rheumatoid arthritis patients and lupus patients who need to be on it, essentially, all of their life. So, we have extensive experience with it ... it's one of the most commonly used medications throughout the world."

It is prescribed 5 million times a year in the US. It’s too deadly to give to people with Covid, but safe enough to give to people going on a family safari trip?

My 73 year old mother with numerous heart problems received a 10 day dose regime of it before she went to Haiti two years ago. Normal procedure before 2020.

Millions of Americans uneventfully took Hydroxychloroquine during RVN. This is the truth.

The brainwashing that went on around this drug was fascinating.

Ahh, right, you have to know the MAGIC words:

  • on a plane: I'm eating, I'm hungry (that's why no mask)

  • to your dr: I'm flying to central africa next week, what shots do I need? oh, plaquenil, what's that?

  • to your pharmacist: I'm flying to central africa, so that's why my doc gave me this. Oh what, this is the Orange Man Bad drug? Oy, that's fucked up! But i trust my doc.

Be prepared, 'pedes!

Got them 5 times to go to Nicaragua, the "travel" doctor we would get the scripts from based his business on writing these scripts for people going south of the border.

The folks that want state sanctioned heroin injection sites don't want you to be able to take some quinine once a week to stop a supposedly deadly virus. 🤡

WHAT?!?! The people cant be trusted to take responsibility of their health into their own hands!!! That job should be delegated to the state!!

Anyone who says HQC will kill you needs to put down the gin and tonic, same active ingredient.

The most frustrating thing is the lefty media has successfully poisoned the well when it comes to HCQ. The sheep just bleat CNN talking points like it's their job at this point.

Plaquenil tastes better than Hydroxycholorquine because it has a coating and they're shaped like little bones. Otherwise, no difference. Also, quit grapefruit juice while taking HCQ.

I quit grapefruit juice the first time I tasted it!

Is this variant of HCQ that is good for Covid-19, or is there another one?

Techrev 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well, this was before some woman killed her husband with fish tank cleaner. Of course it should be controlled now /s

They’re talking about me, now.

When I went to Vietnam during the war I was given the malaria pill for a full year and so did all the other service people there. Don't know of anyone having any side effects.

Thumper 2 points ago +2 / -0

My wife and I were both prescribed Plaquenil before we went on a diving vacation to Indonesia. As far as I can tell, we are both still alive.

Spark-001 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't remember what it was for but I took plaquenil at some point for something... seems like a really common medication.

Can confirm. Have visited some of those locations and have taken it.
