I avoid downtown like the plague now. Austin is so woke and Election Day can't get here fast enough for me to vote for Trump and to vote against the needless, expensive propositions that will probably also appear on the ballot.
Portland is MUCH worse than Austin by far; there was some comparatively small worrying activity the first 1-2 weeks, but since then it's only a small annoying crowd that you wouldn't even know existed unless you happen to be driving downtown late at night right where the protesters hang out, or pay attention to local activities closely.
It's already in the budget to blow up the APD. Expect it to develop it's own CHAZ/CHOP this weekend, maybe right in front of the APD HQ. Abbott is scared of antifa.
