i took it that when the camera man walked away, he was checking to make sure that he had indeed been recording the altercation. when they start to eat their burritos, the camera man cuts off his friend and i think signals toward the camera and they start laughing

When you run a business, there are things that you change. Your dating life changes, your social media presence changes, the apps on your phone change. Cameras like this are on a continuous record loop and they overwrite from the beginning of the file. They have manual freeze overwrite and impact freeze overwrite. It looked to me like he excused himself to activate the record freeze function. I don't know if I'm just unlucky but I have met a lot of these people who will say one thing to you and not even five minutes later will gaslight you and pretend they said or did something else. They are almost always leftists btw. Chevrolet had to modify the corvette software because the valet mode would record people doing illegal things and those people would end up in court when the corvette owner looked at the footage. Not every state has a single party consent framework but for the ones which do, you better believe savvy business owners take advantage of it to prevent frivolous lawsuits.
