Mods would be wise to sticky a post where they provide some transparency to what is actually going on. Not too much detail, just an overview of the underlying issue and some sense of their timeline on fixing it.
Okay, I got some good news: The errors are concentrating on the burrito fight video threads for me. Other pages and functions (other posts, typing this comment, looking at user overviews) are working much better. Maybe they put those two posts on a dedicated line or hardware.
Edit: Never mind, it turns out to have been a weird coincidence that lasted only a few minutes.

I didn't change anything prior to the word "Edit" that time. However, I missed a "gets banned" in a different long comment I checked on. I think this also lends some credence to the possibility that what many thought were DDOS attacks were actually bandwidth resource limits all along. I had/have my suspicions, since this always and only happens whenever there's a significant livestream or something.
I'm assuming mods are cautious to accept money because it compromises their anonymity (if not through the gateway, then through the processor). Or possibly because they can't legally accept money because of their occupation perhaps. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Send them gift cards to a PO box. Then they can redeem them for cash anytime, anywhere.
Limit donations to specific Anon block sizes. That way no one has to worry about taking on any direct funders that have questionable issues. It could be one Pede with a bunch of blocks, or many Pedes with 1 block, won't matter. Anon it, so it's never an issue, and no one really knows. Just cash flow for ops.
