The masks cause CO2 poisoning worse than Sick Building Syndrome.

If you don't believe it, CO2 sensors for building engineers and inspectors are $150 on Amazon. Try it yourself.

You'll find the default alarm level is 1,000 PPM on most devices, and the alarm goes off fairly quickly.

We have had one for years. Our alarm is set for 1500ppm for the house, in front of a cold air return. Life is better when it's under 1000.

I went into my son's closed room this morning (no AC, doors windows closed)

1000PPM and stale stuffy air.

Not healthy for any longer period of time.

Your mask ranges betwen 2x - 30x worse, depending on the mask.
