If you burn a Quran it's a hate crime. If you burn a gay pride flag it's a hate crime. But burning the American flag or the Holy Bible it is protected by the first amendment. The hypocrisy is pretty clear!

It is absolute hypocrisy and idiocy, yes. But defined crimes are connected to actions. Burning an American flag, as abjectly heinous an act as it is, does not necessarily call for action. But by the same measure, burning a gay pride flag does not either, if burning a Bible is not a hate crime.
I'd also like to point out, if you burned a Hebrew Bible, you would definitely get some reaction, but no one cares about the Christian Bible.
Absolutely agree. This is not a unique statue that is a work of art and paid by taxpayers on government property. Scalia agreed that burning the flag (that is your own property) is free speech and not a hate crime. Same thing for Quran.
