I'm so sick of posts like this. Look man, you were a major part of the problem. Not voting before in your life is selfish and disgraceful as an American citizen. It may be controversial, but you are not gonna get welcomed with open arms and an internet ceremony because you finally pulled your head out of your ass and did your civic duty.

An old Roman saying, "You might not take interest in Politics, but that doesn't mean Politics doesn't take an interest in you".

Thing is, dude came to his senses. I will always celebrate that. Take your head out of your own ass.

You've been fooled into thinking only someone from the 2 major parties can win. Not taking action is complacency, and most certainly helped us get into the position we are in. "Oh well, I'll never be able to change anything" is why the deep state exists.

What if the choices are trully fd up? Like Bush vs Kerry in 2004? Or Romney/McCain vs Obama.

With all due respect, 2016 was the only real choice since Reagan.

Imagine if all the people that thought this way voted independent.

I am convinced, that that is the reason why many people did not vote in the past. Can you find a real difference between Romney and Hillary?

There is no such thing as "independent". These are the people who do not want to discuss their voting preferences or equally not happy with both sides. Just remember what McCain was spewing on Trump.

Trump at least is clear where he stands. Most of us find many things about Trump that we do not agree with. However, in the grand scheme of things, he is the best thing that happened to this country in the last decade. I am not sure his success and charisma can be replicated in 2024.

We should welcome those who did not vote in the past, for these voters delivered unexpectedly PA to Trump. Statistically, it was not a victory, as razor thin margin represented the fact that Democrats did not do enough busing and ballot box stuffing in Philadelphia and certain suburbs.

You're not imagining. Complacency is the forerunner of mediocrity. Please, keep enabling non-voters so that our country continues to suffer.
