1.) Civil Unrest (Social War)
2.) Political infighting (Optimates vs. Populares)
3.) Military Strongmen (Gaius Marius, Sulla, Pompey)
After that we will see the rise of an American Julius Caesar will declare himself Dictator for Life.
From there it will only be a matter of time until we become the American Empire.
My wife and I have been discussing this exact thing. The parallels are incredible. Not sure how long America can last until it falls like Rome. I pray we do get a Trump Empire.
Something of the sort. I predict more of a Heinlein-ian (Starship Troopers) scenario, which would be close to ideal, but the time will show. We are on the verge of it all, just have to be prepared.

I don’t think it will be Trump unfortunately.
Should Trump loose, get assassinated, or removed from office and his reforms reversed, then Trump will be our Tiberius Gracchus.
I don’t know who our Julius Caesar and/of Augustus will be.
