Working out at home is superior in every which way. LA Fitness charges $30 a month. Over 3 years that is $1,080. For the same $1,080, I can find myself a nice squat rack, a barbell with about 300lbs of weights, and a bench. That is literally all you need. Guys in prison get jacked by working out in a 8x5 cell. Gyms are useless, all those expensive specialized machines do not give you a better workout than just regular weights.
When I was in high school I told my uncle that I joined a gym. He laughed and said if I wanted to get jacked, come work on his farm as he has a ton of rocks he needs moved. Said that will be a better work out than any gym could give me.
