Teachers are just lazy as shit. Some good teachers are calling out other teachers, they go out to bars and parties, they are not social distancing. They just want to get fully paid and not work.
Bingo, even online university lectures are going to be lukewarm since it can easily be recorded. My last year of college (2018) each professor emphasized how much shit students would get into if they were caught recording lectures without permission.

The problem lies with the useless teachers unions. I am a teacher. I want to be back at work. My job is being stolen from me by the teachers unions and my stupid anxious governor. They close the schools, ruining the lives of countless black kids, and then go out to their little BLM protests so they can get good pics for their Instagrams
As bad as a lot of teachers are, I think the worst outcome is that the public school system gets permanently replaced by some Silicon Valley education platform. If you thought the indoctrination was bad now....
The threshold to be a teacher is low. Not to say there are not great teachers who truly care, but many just don’t have better options. It’s my home that the good teachers in a post-COVID world are centralized as online primary instructors and highly compensated for their ability while the others can go fuck themselves along with the teachers’ union.
It may be because schools are finally becoming a prison where unsupervised discussion and gatherings are not allowed. Schools were already headed in this direction but Covid is the perfect excuse to turn them into dystopian camps.
Unpopular shower opinion(?): Maybe its worthwhile to pay these "educators" (read: indoctrination proctors), to stay away from the children until they can be phased out or replaced entirely with something more adequate.
What a waste. It’s a female-dominated profession so everyone would have given them a hero’s welcome for facing COVID in the schools, SO BRAVE, SO FIERCE. They would have been called the vanguard of getting us back to reality. I realize that’s all over-dramatic, but it’s the kind of story people would have gotten behind. Probably could have sailed into budget increases and raises with all of the goodwill.
