yeah theyve done black promos before. usually benign. just a mild lip service. Hell, my team, the Devils plays in Newark so in addition to that they have gay night (which is just really rainbow stick tape for warmup and the logo is rainbow on the scoreboard is all I notice) they even have Hispanic heritage night sponsored by Goya since it's so close. and theres a Goya concession stand in the arena.

they're just doing all this as tie in to "Hockey is for everyone". theyve been trying to appeal to non whites for a while trying to get appeal for the sport in areas that normally dont hear of it
