From reading the deposition, it seems like she said that Epstein used to say he was friends with trump but she never actually saw them. She also said Sharon Churcher had Lied in her reporting and trump had never flirted with her.
The issue is she said they were friends and had to walk it back to Epstein said Trump was a good friend. That's what's happening in the line of questioning. The FBI is corrupt, but they were following a decent line of questioning based on her saying they were friends. She just had no evidence.

She’s given a new article by Sharon Churcher and she’s asked to mark the statements which were incorrect in the news article. That’s what she corrects saying the article claims Trump flirted with her but that’s inaccurate. After a few pages, she also says that Churcher embellished a few things in her article.
