The teachers are making an unintentional argument against their own profession. If schools aren't open, why are they needed? The federal government could just produce streaming videos of every subject imaginable, taught by the world's leading experts. All free and on an .edu website. No more local schools. No more local teachers.
Mine are doing remote learning through the school, but we are also planning on doing a lot of our own things. My 12 year old is in the gifted/STEM program. She wants to be a rocket scientist, so we've been all over NASA and SpaceX lately.
If we had as much to spend as the school spends on every student.... I could do so much with that money.
I normally love sending them back to school but I'm actually looking forward to this year too... I think both of them will be way ahead of the kids who spent their year sanitizing and distancing and disinfecting tge classroom every 30 minutes.
Great idea; however, the world's leading "experts" will be just more of the same. Fauchi's and Imperial College twats will be chosen to be the new globalist indoctrinators.
I completely believe virtual schooling will bite public schools and teachers in the ass. Once parents realize they can keep their children AWAY from the terrible, disruptive students in their classes and can school from home, especially if they enter into a homeschool co-op with other local parents, parents will pull their children out of public school FOREVER. Our school has lost around 200 students because of the virtual schooling. This virtual schooling is de facto proof that public education is a house of cards, and a “pandemic” trying to get everyone to become more dependent on government will backfire with hopefully a generation of independent, free-thinking students schooled away from socialized education. I will continue to urge parents to pull their children out of public schools because their emotional health, cognitive ability, and character development will all increase exponentially in this world of corrupting social media, propagandist educational curriculum, and absent/virtue signaling parenting.
I humbly appreciate that compliment, thank you. I urge parents to remember that public school is not the be all, end all, for education. It’s still based on a concept that is over a century in age: eight hour school days for factory working parents in factory towns. The biggest complaint I hear from colleagues is the amount of interruptions per day from bad students, counselors, personalized learning plans, etc. Your students may get three hours a day of focused, uninterrupted education, and a decent percentage of that is on a computer. Considering the move to “virtual” learning, I would bet my bottom dollar parents will actually see a greater jump in ability for their children because they will be able to work one on one with their children and keep them in a relatively wholesome environment. I also could be completely wrong, but, considering what I’ve seen, I’d say I have a better chance of being right.
The marxists are not hiding their agenda at all anymore. They are deliberately stunting the intellectual, social, and psychological growth of top students to "level the playing field"! One such radical teacher told me that white people need to stop making others feel inadequate by "trying to be perfect all of the time". Teachers are refusing to tell students what books will be used in the next class because they are worried they will study them and get ahead of the rest of the class. These people are not heroes trying to lift kids up. They are trying to make everyone compliant, fearful, and ignorant. Kids of any age would be safer and learn more at home unsupervised than to be systematically debased by today's evil school environment.
I love this idea of local community based "neighborhood schooling". My children will not be returning to conventional educational processes. That's finished!
We can always just retrain these teachers to learn how to code or just make sure they are never allowed back in schools to brainwash and indoctrinate America's children.
You do realize that neighborhoods have hundreds of BLM teens with nothing to do all day who are rioting, looting and burning downtown areas. Do you really want to keep this going because none of them are in school and have nothing to do all day?
You are batshit fucking insane if you think the parents of these teens give a fuck about home-school or even being home during the day.

I actually like this idea!!

Or, they can just use khan academy! lol
Local teachers might want to think about unintended consequences.
Agreed. Teachers are some of the most liberal people on the planet... it is time their influence over the younger generation is minimized.

Leave govt out of education 100%.

Saved to my "well said" file!

Largely would be referring to a reallocation and a local tax reduction through legislation I’m sure.

And they can socialize with whom you want, not with whom they have to!
This is by far the best solution.
I'm not pro-lockdown (house arrest) by any means but schools are really just state funded daycare at best, and state funded indoctrination at worst.
We can always just retrain these teachers to learn how to code or just make sure they are never allowed back in schools to brainwash and indoctrinate America's children.
Send them all to China to teach them. See how long until their families back here get bills for bullets.
Teachers would still find work be local schools would be shut down. We should be moving to a tutoring model with online modules.

Homeschool your kids. Shoot your looters. Problems solved.
