You are talking about the most powerful man in the world, who had the ability to enter politics for the first time, trample over a group of career politicians who were said to be "the best in a generation", and get himself elected to the highest political office in the country, and becoming the most powerful human on earth. Then hiring a group of hand picked advisors who he also believes are the best that there is. It is a dangerous game he plays, but it is extremely calculated.
Thats why I always hated the "Trump is stupid" argument. Sure, you might be able to argue he is racist, he is evil, he is only looking out for himself, etc. But one thing I strongly feel you can not say, is that he is stupid. If Trump is stupid, then everyone else is a vegetable.

I don't see how it would negatively affect anyone. Most people didn't have any problem with masks - we just don't want to be forced to wear a mask, especially when the people in charge are being hypocritical with their supposed rules.
For those of us going against state mandates and trying re-normalize not wearing masks, it gives ammo to people who can say "even the President says it's patriotic to wear a mask!"
