Lead or steel or tungsten, 1350fps with shot shells carries a need for distinction. Probably better defined as high-brass aka magnum load. Can you fill it with 3" slugs?
You can't on the Saigas, I imagine it's the same with this. 2 3/4 only unless you want to manually chamber one round at a time, then you can go smaller.
I wasn't thinking smaller, so the magazine only accepts 2 3/4, it probably also is only chambered for 2 3/4. I was wondering because 3" mags should cycle it no matter what the load. I'm ruthless with my shotgun loading, you get three 3" 00 buck to start and if you're still talking shit, four slugs for follow up.
I tried bird shot in "someone elses" Saiga before. It wont eject them properly. I have heard that some Saigas will, but it's more or less a luck of the draw type thing.
That's pretty much what I run through mine. Like I said it HAS to be 1200 fps minimum. A lite birdshot won't let it cycle properly. A hotter load though...... all she does is eat.
How's reliability on that bad boy? Been thinking about something similar.
Looks like it's gonna be a 12 gauge birthday this year. Thanks brother!

not true. You have to have a hot load. 1 1/8 ounce. Minimum 1200 fps. And it cycles like a champ

yup. I have a saiga 12 and I have to run 1200 fps min.

Why does the FPS matter? Running the action? Sorry, am Canadian
I've had at one point or another, Seven Saiga-12s and I've made them all run perfectly on Federal 7.5 Shot Bulk Packs.
