It's a combo vert grip and bipod.. you may be able to see that if you zoom in. I have it choked back so far because I lost my shoulder in the war and it's easier to support.

I'm not referring to it's placement or use as a grip. But more so that it's attached to a non free floated foregrip. Which means any pressure applied to the bipod or grip will also be applied to the barrel, making accuracy unpredictable.

Swapping out the Magpul foregrip for a free floated rail to mount your bipod/grip will septate it from affecting the barrel and accuracy.

Ahh I see. You're right of course. My M400 is a tack driver midrange, which is what I wanted it for. I use it within 300yrds... and it may be good much further, but I haven't tried. For long range shooting I built a MK14mod2. It's 1moa at 1k. For close range I really like the KSG 12ga.

Nice! Love the M14 platform, even though most don't. Those sage chassis sure are chonky though. I have a M1A Loaded in 6.5 Creedmoor. Not a fan of the stock it comes with (archangel). Planning on building a Bula xm21 based rifle then parting ways with the SA. Wish list build at the moment is: Bula XM21 reciever. Krieger DMR profile barrel. McMillan stock. +/- most the NM upgrades and small bits. Should be a mighty hammer though. Just need to get the right Smith to build it.
