Ahh I see. You're right of course. My M400 is a tack driver midrange, which is what I wanted it for. I use it within 300yrds... and it may be good much further, but I haven't tried. For long range shooting I built a MK14mod2. It's 1moa at 1k. For close range I really like the KSG 12ga.

Nice! Love the M14 platform, even though most don't. Those sage chassis sure are chonky though. I have a M1A Loaded in 6.5 Creedmoor. Not a fan of the stock it comes with (archangel). Planning on building a Bula xm21 based rifle then parting ways with the SA. Wish list build at the moment is: Bula XM21 reciever. Krieger DMR profile barrel. McMillan stock. +/- most the NM upgrades and small bits. Should be a mighty hammer though. Just need to get the right Smith to build it.

I built mine myself with a lot of time and slow spend. It's doable if you're into the study. I've had no issues with sage chassis.. other than the very sensitive fitting of the gas block. Once I got everything fit nicely it's been really reliable and consistent.
