They tell us these dues go to a fund that helps keep us whole when strike comes. It always seems that money runs well short of that goal. Good thing most people inside my facility go and borrow a bunch of money as soon as they get here and can’t afford to strike. And we wonder why the company likes to throw us over the coals every contract negotiation. I wish this union would dissolve. They act like the company would immediately take us all the way back to the pre-OSHA and workers rights days... but at the same time they wonder why non-union facilities that do what we do have happier people...
