It most certainly is. One of my favorite all-time movies. I was watching it earlier this week and realized that yet another of their prophecies is trying to implemented by the Left: The replacement of an actual police force with what are essentially social workers who are incapable of dealing with actual criminals.
I swear the guys who made that film traveled back from the future.
No seashells, but a lot of people traded toilet paper for bidets.
The other stuff is crazy too with the franchise wars essentially being socialism choking the life from competitors to make mega corporations, guns belonging in museums, fines for unacceptable speech administered by stations that track your speech virtually everywhere, virtual sex and distancing, corporations owning police forces that cannot deal with violent criminals, and of course sheeple who follow every single rule and law no matter what.

Of course...I bring all these examples up all the time. The "defund the police" crap just recently created the new one I cited.
We do need a lot more Edgar Friendlys around today. Probably a few more John Spartans, too.
