The plan is dependent on the American people continuing to buy into sports entertainment. If Americans no longer hold Nascar, MLB etc. in high esteem, then that plan crumbles.
They poisoned the cake, but made it too obvious. As many have said, they overplayed their hand.
I dint think that’s the plan. I think the plan is to DESTROY all major sports leagues hence “demoralization” of us
It can turn us into a people who now put our value in our communities, families, and selves. Rather than a group of strangers we have nothing in common with, chasing a ball around.
I think religion and sports are important parts of the American fiber, even though I don't participate in either. Religion is needed as a cohesive set of ideologies to hold people together. Sports is needed as a way to be tribal, and war with each other without actually fighting.
All those impulses to cheer for the strong men competing in violence-with-rules, that you support for being under a particular set of colors?
Those impulses could be channeled to actual nationalism instead of this synthetic meaningless form of nationalism
Overplayed or forced to play too early cause of Trump. He was not planned for. They would’ve preferred the slow calm progression as seen over the past 20 years.
