The aegis ultra ii at the bottom was my father in laws favorite gun. When he showed it to me the first round he always kept chambered was a black talon. A Vietnam vet highly exposed to agent orange put up a good fight. Thanks for reminding me of the great memories.
If your mother-in-law ever needs to buy a home she can get a loan through the VA for the rest of her life due to her late husband's exposure to agent orange.
There is a special provision in the VA Loan Code (WARMS library) that allows a widowed spouse of a veteran exposed to agent orange access to their housing benefit even after they are deceased.
Few people are aware of this and many lenders may not have any idea what you are talking about. If they don't, run to someone that does.
It is a significant benefit allowing you to purchase a property with 100% financing and no funding fee to the government.
VA loans also have other benefits to them that are not available to others, like being able to refi down to a lower rate without having to get re-qualified like a normal private mortgage.
Wanted to let you know just in case this might beneficial to her someday.
I hope she knows how much we appreciate her and her husband's sacrifice for us. She's still serving in a very real way I bet. God bless her.
Thanks for all this information. I’ll let my wife know. Even though we just purchased a new home so we could have the extra space for her to live with us, maybe there will be something benefiting in the information you provided for us down the road.
Love Kimber. I don’t care what the haters have to say. I own a Colt, RIA and Kimber. Fired many other “high end” 1911s and the $800 Kimber drops 45 holes at 25 yards like a tack driver.
Wilson Combat mags are great. I don’t like the low profile Kimber mags for reloading. But they work and it’s what I use for as the initial mag for concealment. Two spare 8 round WC mags for backup.
All depends on what you want and what you prefer. If you want the purest 1911 experience, something like a Colt Series 70 is it. The Sig 1911s have some changes and some of the visual cues of the Sig P-series.
TWO. WORLD. WARS.
its funny when the communist dem leaders say " turn in your weapons of war "(AR15) and you think about your 1911's
the two on top belonged to my grandfather. i bought the one on the bottom
I am a firm believer in the 1911 and 45 AARP.
:)
yeah im a glock guy too!
I have a Kimber cdp 2, it’s a great gun and shoots so well that I was joking with my husband that I could take the hair off a gnats ass at 60 yards 🤣
haha. it is a fine fire arm!
its a strange one. it was built in Argentina back in the day under a contract for their military. still doing research on it.
It is a beauty. Was hoping it was ivory at first. Supposedly you can still get some ivory from fossils legally but it is pricey.
Classics!
Nice. Just got me my first gun last week. Glock 17 Gen 4.
Glocks are great! i love my g19

Thanks for the kind words :)
wow my granddad also got the orange in Vietnam. he battled all kinds of crazy stuff when he came home. that shit is no joke!
I recently watched Rambo. They brought it up. Back then the government denied it. It must have been a little controversial
for sure

agreed! i wasn't a fan of the Kimber mags but the Wilson combat mags work great

I’m a fan as well. They’re super smooth, like Cadillacs, if you will!
That Argentine 1911...we need more legal immigrants like that.
Nice stuff. Naturally, I approve.
If it's a 1911 why does it say Glock? Checkmate, drumpftards.
Walls are closing in !!!!
Great pistols, a design over 100 years old now, they symbolize freedom, just get them off the Glock pad that’s sacrilegious.
Aint nuthin wrong with them Glockteen 11’s!
These don't look cheap.
Pretty penny on those.
What's better an original style 1911 or a new model like a sig?
All depends on what you want and what you prefer. If you want the purest 1911 experience, something like a Colt Series 70 is it. The Sig 1911s have some changes and some of the visual cues of the Sig P-series.
ive never shot a sig 1911 but i would imagine it would be better than the old 1911s just my opinion though
