Lots of celebrities and rich people get children's book deals regardless of how talented they are (because publishing houses think the name recognition will sell books, and generally they're not wrong in that.) I'd say 90% of children's books written by celebrities are not just bad, they're forgotten within a year.
I have never heard of this book. I did a search on goodreads: it came back with a translated book of Afghan folk tales that did not contain her name anywhere. I did a search on amazon: NOTHING.
So either the person who wrote the article got the book's name wrong (very possible,) or the book was not only never a bestseller, it never existed.
Interesting fact- Lewis Carol, the author of Alice and Wonderland was suspected to be a pedophile. He was obsessed with young children, even doing naked portraits of them.
