I've got to agree with that. I've listened to the audio book a few times and my opinion is that the central them of the book is Responsibility and Consequences and it weights heavily into the HMP sections.

How much responsibility you want to take on is in relationship to the level of consequences you want to risk. It's even stated in the book that a Civilian committing a crime versus a Citizen has a punishment weighted differently. One would get whipped for theft and the other would get hung. Same thing for Enlisted and Officers. One gets whipped for Negligence and the other would get hung. The reason for the difference would be the level of responsibility that the individual would be willing to take on.

HMP needs to be taught for real, IMO.

And there's some Democrat clown congressman who wants to ban history now because, "racism"

My favorite line is, "I do not understand the phrase, 'cruel & unusual punishment'; punishment must be cruel, otherwise it is not punishment."
