Obama was never really popular or liked as a President. Just like people are dodging and lying to pollsters today, people were not going to say they thought the first black President was a huge disappointment by almost every measure.
They lied when they said they approved of Obama - the biggest case of the bigotry of low expectations plus fear of being branded a witch—I mean, racist.

It was so cheesy and blatantly manipulative--especially the huge images of himself to either side, posed like a saint. The funny thing is is that leftists pride themselves so much on being "critical thinkers" that can read through propaganda and media manipulation. But they took it all hook line and sinker. It's the sunken cost fallacy--especially powerful when the scammer was a black man. There's no way they could do anything but continue pretend he was like a god.
