I'm so sick of cuck republicans. The Democrats would fill that vacancy while impeaching another Justice at the same time.

Yes. The Dems would have filled Scalia's spot in a heartbeat if they had the Senate in 2016.

It has been "Weekend at Ginsburg's" for a while now. When President Trump wins re-election, that'll open up potentially three more SCOTUS appointments (Ginsburg, Breyer and Thonas) over the next four years. And with each successive SCOTUS Justice nomination, the rallies and marches will become more omnipresent. The Pink Pussy Hat Brigade wil lose their collective $hit when GEOTUS nominates a staunch conservative to replace Ginsburg. 🍿

Sotomayor before Breyer, I think. She's got type 1 diabetes and she's both overweight and old (65 now IIRC).

Reaper might find her sooner than expected.

I hadn't thought of Sotomayor. But she is a tough Latina. Just imagine if President Trump is able to replace four more Justices during his second-term. The Pink Pussy Hat dopes will lose their minds. There'll be 24/7 rallies all throughout the country, all to no avail. So that'd be two-thirds of the Supreme Court filled by President Trump, ensuring a Conservative SCOTUS for decades!!

She already ded.

If she was dead, they would tell us. This is one thing that would really energize the Dem base to vote. That's why I hope this old biddy lasts at least until after the election.

Ignore this bs.

There isn't enough time to appoint one before the election even if she passed today. It would be a month of fanfare by the left for abortionRuth. Then it would take at least a month to get it to the point to take a vote. They wouldn't do it within a month of an election. They would just do it afterward win or lose the election.

Which is why I added Jan 20th to the mix.

Not like our hope has any affect on the outcome, but I expect something about this election is going to go to the SC. And good luck with Roberts at the helm...

If the dems pull election fuckery and the SCOTUS has a divided 4-4 vote on the case, wtf happens next?

4
Meme_war_ii_vet 4 points ago +6 / -2

It would be 5-3 since Roberts is being blackmailed

3
BurgerChef90 3 points ago +3 / -0

Most cases are going 5-4 for RBG and Co cause of Roberts. If she dies, those future 5-4 cases in their favor end up going 4-4 Until a replacement can be made.

If they get 5 votes on their side in most cases including Roberts, if RBG dies, how can they still have 5 votes? They’d need another “conservative” justice to Jump ship and join Roberts to still get 5 votes.

Any Republican Senator that doesn't allow a Conservative Supreme Court pick needs to have their career stripped away.

Allow a pick, but obviously be picky about which justice gets it!

Hate cuck Republicans as well. But Mitch has done a pretty awesome job on getting judges through. Hope he sticks with it if the opening comes.

He was elected for 4 years and he shall have that authority until the final day. No brainer.

Supreme Robo Bader Ginsburg will live forever...

McConnell rightly hated the whole 'delay SCOTUS until after the election' malarky the Dems pulled. He said they'd rue the day then got sweet revenge when he was able to deliver the rue-ing himself. Now, everyone has had their fun, go back to being reasonable humans and do your job, regardless of election cycle.

Amy Coney Barrett should NEVER be on the Supreme Court (Kethledge and Hardiman are bad news also- one is bad on immigration and the other on guns but I don’t remember which).

If ACB gets it, we need to call our senators and tell them to fight her confirmation.

Don Willett would be a good choice!

IntrepidBurger 2 points ago +2 / -0

Imagine being RBG, knowing that you're going to die very soon and hand over a pick to Trump just because you were too fucking arrogant to step down before the "first female president" was elected.

Her last thoughts are going to be how badly she screwed up.

Mitt Romney will vote against, guaranteed. Even if they endorsed the Prophet and leader of the Mormon church as the next SCOTUS pick, he wouldn't vote for it if Trump endorsed him.
