If I can go to the grocery store to buy food why can't I go to my assigned polling station to cast my ballot? Its just like saying that somehow its ok to ID people buying alcohol, or smokes or boarding an airplane but its unconstitutional to require voter id.
I don't like this crap that you have to sign your mail in ballot. Voter ID is fine but it is completely unconstitutional to record a persons name as well as who they voted for. Why are republicans silent on this? At best this is blatant voter intimidation at worst you are being put on a secret list.
Do your social distancing or mask policy or what ever bullshit you need for that 1 day but the election must take place without interference.
he can't. it's another one of these "states rights" things so it has to be handled at the state level. frankly general elections for President should be federally controlled. there should be a one size fits all method for electing the President in all states. No "voting machines in Florida" but "paper ballots in Idaho" and "put a marble in the jar in Iowa". Everyone uses the same method. No mail, no way to "cheat". Letting states have their own methods muddies the water which is why we have this legal battle every damn election

He can't. States decide the policy and procedures at the state level. We live in a Federal nation-state. I a Federated system, the National Government is made up of individual governments i.e. states, that contribute to the Federal government but are not "ruled" by the Federal government. States get to decide their own laws independently. In fact, one of the reasons why we're so polarized and why the fabric of our nation is being torn is because Democrats think that everyone should have believe, say and act and live under the same types of laws, policies and regulations that deeply blue Democratic cities live under. The problem is places like New York and Los Angeles want to force places like Springfield population 20,000 to live, think and act exactly like the ruling class in New York and Los Angeles. In a Federated system, it's designed so that each city and each state can decided for themselves but lefties don't understand borders and boundaries.

If you can't stop fraud, the next best option is to overwhelm the system with fraud. Turn this thing into such a shitshow that it takes months to resolve, and possibly requires a new election in those states.

But it's not at all clear that Pelosi would take power. That's not defined in the constitution, this entire scenario is not covered. Keep in mind, If there wasn't a legitimate election, Pelosi herself would no longer be an elected official, as of January 20th. Her term ends the same day Trumps does.
If that scenario happens, it will likely come down to a pure power play, and that strongly favors the sitting president.

That's one interpretation, but by no means the only one. Since the constitution doesn't specify what would happen in that scenario, it would probably come down to a raw exercise of power, which Trump would have 3 months to prepare for.
