My wife and I just finished watching the second season of The Umbrella Academy (it's a fairly entertaining show if you have nothing else to do). All Netflix shows are filled with sjw propaganda but this show actually impressed me with how much it was able to cram in.

There are 7 main characters, 2 are women, one is black, one is Asian, one is gay, one is lesbian, one is Hispanic and this last season they introduced an east Indian character.

This season they went back in time to the 60s so they had to obviously dedicate a large chunk of the show to civil rights and showing tons of evil racist bigots.

They also had a storyline about the lesbian having an affair with a lonely housewife and the husband finds out and is homophobic towards her and threatens her to stay away from his wife.

The gay dude got punched in the face for being "a queer".

They show multiple interracial relationships.

It also has tons of girl power moments e.g. small women beating the shit out of multiple men .

It's basically a sjw wetdream. I'm getting really tired of this constant propaganda everywhere, I think I need to hide in my safe space, eating Goya beans, reading thedonald.win and watching movies from the 50s

My wife loves it and it's nice to watch something together.

Also it's not a terrible show, it's entertaining enough but it's pretty obvious that Netflix forces diversity quotas on everything they produce.

I prefer to pirate media, I hate giving those commie satanists my money, I actually would have canceled Netflix ages ago but my wife likes the ease of use compared to loading up links and trying to find ones that work etc.

Why anyone would give Netflix money is beyond me.

I have a firestick so it's nice to have some easy content to flip on when I want it. I have a bunch of apps that I sideloaded onto it so most of the movies and tv shows we watch are actually pirated but they don't always work great or sometimes they stick when the internet is slow, Netflix always seems to work.

Don't take this the wrong way but shit like this is why companies like Netflix continue to have a stranglehold to spread their faggotry. STOP PAYING FOR A SERVICE THAT ACTIVELY HATES YOU AND EVERYTHING YOU STAND FOR JUST TO HAVE A FEW HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT. I get the need for entertainment but stop putting money in these peoples pocket just for one or two shows. Saying the show "isn't that bad" and still pointing out the obvious bullshit is like letting someone spit in your face and saying it wasn't that bad because they smiled first. Again, I'm not trying to sound like i'm going in on you because I get it but Netlix shouldn't be in any pedes household.

It's pretty much just my wife who watches it, I either watch crap on YouTube or just pirate content. My wife hates dealing with the apps for pirating because you have to find links that work and lots of times there are loading issues and stuff.

Gonna get hate for this, but the show is actually really good. I also watch it with my wife, and like OP says, it's nice to have something to watch together.

In its defense I'll say that while the cast is diverse, I don't feel like it's being shoved down our throats (like in other Netflix shows). Also, S2 takes place in the 1960's. There's racism vs. blacks, and outright bigotry toward homosexuals. This is how the 1960's were. I didn't see them showing this as that big a deal. Especially since the black character organized a bunch of blacks to all take a stand at a particular diner, which would've resulted in exactly what happened, whether on Netflix or real life.

Just being honest here, it wasn't as bad as OP says. There have to be interracial relationships based on straight up mathematics (given the diversity of the cast), and there are plenty of scenes where men are beating the shit out of multiple men, too. The characters all have powers. There are lots of fight scenes and scenes where 'powers' are used, a lot like in The Boys.

TRUST ME: I am not denying Netflix is SJW. But there are great original things to watch too (Stranger Things, Black Mirror, The Crown, Dark) and I prefer to focus on those shows. Let Netflix keep losing money producing "Dear White People" and eventually those shows will phase out. It's how the free market works: the cream rises and the shit sinks (with the exception of the occasional floater).

Alright, now bring on the downvotes.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. I find the show to be pretty good even with the diversity quotas. I also really enjoyed Sex Education despite all the sjw programming because it's actually a good show with well written characters.

Once you get past an episode or two, you won't even notice the dubbing (it's German). As a time-travel / sci-fi buff, I really LOVED the way they handled this show. It was a perfect length, too (3 seasons) and had a satisfying ending.

Red Dog / 2011. Low budget Aussie film about a dusty dog. True story all that. Fun little movie.

You should absolutely not subject yourself to SJW propaganda seeking to brainwash you. You especially shouldn’t pay for the privilege either.

It's an entertaining enough show, I like it and my wife loves it, you should still watch it but you'll definitely get the sense that Netflix has certain diversity quotas for content they produce.

I can't think of anything that you can watch that's been recently produced that doesn't include some PC propaganda. Sports used to be my safe space. Not anymore

The only good movie that I've seen in the last year or so was The Gentleman by Guy Ritchie. He really went back to his roots with that one, it has a slow start and you need English subtitles to understand some of the characters but I haven't laughed so hard and had so much fun watching a movie in a long time.

1918 was good

Diversity in media doesn't bother me but I don't like it when it feels like they went through a check list when casting the show.

Women check Asian check Black check Hispanic check Gay check Lesbian check East Indian check Midget check

This type of balanced diversity feels very forced, kinda like a McDonald's commercial.

And basically every Netflix show I have watched has to have a gay/lesbian/ trans character or some mix of them all.

I don't like forced diversity in media. It feels cheap and transparent. I can literally name hundreds of movies with diverse characters that are great.
