Hello, fellow trump supporters I am a 21 year old independent / libertarian with some conservative ideals recently drawn more and more toward trump, guns, and freedom I do not like the direction our country is headed towards with China, democrats, far left, msm, corruption. I do not like the direction my life is headed with not being able to find a decent job in my area and I don’t want to go to some commie college. I think the military would give me some much needed structure to my life, give me valuable life experience, teach me grades and skills, and more. I’ve been looking at taking an asvab to see how I qualify. I’d like to join marines, Air Force, navy, or coast guard. My father was in the coast guard. I have a marines recruiter reaching out to me now. I’m wondering what you veteran pedes would have to say to a young man looking to straighten out his life. The only real fears I have is what if I don’t have what it takes to be a marine or on the chance that the dnc will rig the election and Biden will ruin America. I’ve never been the strongest guy, but I want to make something of myself, before it’s too late. What are some good jobs offered through the military? Is now a good time to enlist? Any thoughts?

That’s what I’ve been thinking about doing. It’s definitely my next step
I would say do it if Trump wins as he's not trying to start wars. If Joe wins you can guarantee a major war with Russia or some other country the Democrats don't like because they believe in Christ.
You don't have to be strong they will make you strong. You don't have to be the best they will help you be your best. The military offers anything you're interested in really. Just figure out what you want to do with your life and know that it won't be yours anymore until you leave the military.
Going into the military will certainly change you drastically (for the better). You will learn more about yourself in the first few months than you might otherwise need a lifetime to. You will break through physical and mental barriers that otherwise might be impossible in civilian life. My short time in was perhaps the most rewarding period of my life.
My dad was a super squared away Marine, but, a complete deadbeat in almost every other way after. I was in the Navy and now have a business and have been married for a decade and a half with 3 kids. The military will teach you a lot about you, but, you will get out what you put in. It will not make or break your life either way, the choices you make on a daily basis do that. You could join the military and make shit choices and have a hard time. You could not join, make great choices and great success and vice versa. If you want war, join the Army or Marines. If you want travel join the Navy. If you want a fraternity, join the AF or go to college(almost same difference).
Whatever you do, make the consistent choices that will make your life great.
Space Force awaits, go sign up.
Give yourself up 100% to your new Life, pay attention, learn, keep your mouth shut and your ears open.
You'll love it if you go in with the correct attitude. You are willingly offering yourself up, don't whine and complain, you will often not understand WHY you're doing what you're doing, but regardless of your Job do it well, Very Very Well.
You'll learn to spot the trouble-makers, ignore them. Don't volunteer for things until you know what you're volunteering for, don't skip duties and assignments, Serve with a smile, embrace your Fate unflinchingly.
The best schooling I ever had was in the Air Force, and I've studied at major universities such as Baylor and Texas A&M, suffered thru lesser classes and regimens.
If you Separate after one tour you'll be amazed at how much you learned and absorbed, how much more perspective you will have gained, how much confidence and trust you will have in yourself.
Just Do It.

IAMA 19+ year senior officer. There are tons of opportunities out there across all branches. If you're mostly looking for job skills, I'd recommend taking the ASVAB then choosing a career that has a civilian application such as aircraft maintenance or military police. If you are looking for a career then pick anything you think you'll excel at. Also, most have college programs available if you're interested. Once you have that knocked out, you can apply for officer programs which is a nice increase in pay. Also, talk to recruiters from all the branches. Each branch has a different culture and you should consider the one that best matches your personality. The Air Force has a reputation for better quality of life, but in many ways it has much more tedious and officious regulations. Take your time, you have lots of info to gather. I'd say this is a good time to get in. I predict with all the chaos and Democrat shutdowns, the economy is going to have another serious recession.
