I work for an insurance company and every all employee meeting we hear about the desire to fight systematic oppression, what we are doing to combat that, and how we can promote diversity. The CEO even worried about how we don't have a good diversity of thought and how we need to make people more comfortable being themselves. But throughout the whole meeting it's heavily implied that conservative voices aren't wanted. He even made a comment that implied trump is a joke. Not to mention we won't go back to the office until 2021. Just needed to vent where people will get me.
Edit: just made it a bit more vague so i don't accidently dox myself. I trust you guys, but i'd rather be careful.
My wife was telling me about her friend who works for FOX news. A huge progressive - she was bitching in the office about the need for more social distancing recently.
She has ZERO fear of being a progressive working for FOX.
But the NY Times hires a liberal centrist - and the progressives there hound her into quitting.
Personally, I have no doubt that I would get fired if I was open about my leanings.
