I work for an insurance company and every all employee meeting we hear about the desire to fight systematic oppression, what we are doing to combat that, and how we can promote diversity. The CEO even worried about how we don't have a good diversity of thought and how we need to make people more comfortable being themselves. But throughout the whole meeting it's heavily implied that conservative voices aren't wanted. He even made a comment that implied trump is a joke. Not to mention we won't go back to the office until 2021. Just needed to vent where people will get me.

Edit: just made it a bit more vague so i don't accidently dox myself. I trust you guys, but i'd rather be careful.

Thankfully i got emergency fund worked out during covid. Now i just need to plan that escape. I'm also worried every insurance company will be too far left for me.

I am fortunate to work for a based group, not in insurance. But I can't believe that ALL insurance companies are left leaning.

I don't think all are, but i believe every large one is and probably most mid sized ones. I'll have to start looking smaller in my escape plan.

Vet them at the interview, think of some good questions you can ask that may show they are stunning and brave, or a normal company.

Ask how they're promoting and handling "diversity" seems like a great way to get that out of them.

So a lot of insurance work is administrative in nature, meaning lower level, meaning entry level, meaning recent female college grad or less. They are the ones pushing all this bullshit, and leadership doesn't want to get a bad name within a cheap labor sector, so they just go along with it, hoping it doesn't bite them in the ass one day. There's no fucking coward like a President of VP of a large organization.

Why not document workplace hostility? Penn is at will, but they can not discriminate on you for age or race. Document what they say when hostile to your race or gender, and how it effects you (scared or something).

I don't know if you're religious (I'm not) but they are not likely to be hard left.
