The thing is we have no idea what the real number is after countless documented cases of false reporting. Fake news is a worse epidemic than the virus at this point.

MAGACAP 44 points ago +44 / -0

And the insane thing is it should be a YUUUGE crime to put something else in the death certificate than the actual cause of death

But nobody cares

14
ProphetOfKek 14 points ago +14 / -0

They do this with tobacco too. Supposed to check a box if it contributed to the death. Even if you dropped your cig on your lap and it caused a car wreck.

We also have ZERO COMPARISON to any other respiratory virus as no other virus is counted in this manner.

I’ve already said that NY hospitals are going to see record profits.

They have no costs beyond handling the dead and all the dead are reimbursed by the government.

We paid for the protests and paid the hospitals to keep up the lies. No more funds and everyone will go back to work.

4
Sum_devil 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is why we need to stop all the bullshit now. No more lockdowns, no more new normal. The new normal just means making whatever numbers we want to feed the beast.

4
hit_backspace 4 points ago +4 / -0

The "new normal" is only in democrat states because they purposely ruined themselves.

Red states need to reopen immediately. They barely have enough cases to justify a quarantine.

I've been wondering this, especially now that all these corporations are mandating masks. Lots of inventory to go through and i'm sure they won't want to eat that expense. Pretty much every place sells their own cloth masks now

Fun fact: You can't attribute deaths to the flu if it's only a small factor in the causality leading to death. If you have 2-3 comorbidities and are at age 80+, death is something you should expect every day. This flu is just the straw that broke the camel's back, not the sole cause of death.

So even if we assume the real number is ~50,000 - most people who died from it would have died for any other reason within 0-5 years. We are not talking about healthy 30 year olds who had NO condition at all, got the flu, and then died from it alone. That might be the extreme rare case, the fringe exception to the rule at best.

Nobody is talking about this. And in my view it's peak clown world that this topic is so widely ignored, because it is absolutely essential to the conversation.

Think about even the normal flu vaccination.

Doesnt help you one bit and makes you actually more vulnerable (the army study shows) and someone is making a bank

10
sustainable_saltmine 10 points ago +10 / -0

that's all there really is to the delay in ending lockdowns. Pharma was promised big bucks and intends to cash in no matter what, and they have "experts" and politicians on their side, many with direct stakes in that windfall. They are all trying to protect Pharma's profits so they all benefit. That's why they won't allow a dirt cheap off-patent drug be a prominent cure or preventative

4
Bigstick7 4 points ago +4 / -0

The right people are making money (big business and politicians), hence why the lock downs keep happening. My neighbor is in sales (big sales conglomerate sells everything), he says only covid related things are selling and being manufactured. He has never seen anything like it, I think this is why so many repubs are complicit as well they are also getting richer.

I want all these corrupt fucks out of here.

Paramedic in one of the five states that account for 40% of Covid deaths.

In the 5-6 months this has been a thing, I’ve had 5 patients TOTAL who were diagnosed definitively with Covid. Of those 5 patients, 4 of them were asymptomatic. All but one were geriatric.

Sample of one, but based on what I’ve seen here, cases are being way, way over counted.

#ContactTracing

They are so determined to count even "probable cases" as if they were full-blown infections. Why I'm afraid for when our office finally makes us come back. No doubt it will be a staggered schedule of sorts, balance of in-office and home, but frankly in our office we have been doing everything we need 10% from home, no need to be "on campus" to do anything, not even needing a VPN to be "on the campus network"

Thing is, I'm not at all afraid of the virus but of the contact tracing. Especially at the moment when wife and I are going through IVF to have a kid because our age, late 30s just going to get more difficult, not that it couldn't happen according to the doctors give we're healthy and all, just age is a factor with these things statistically. ANYHOO,
guaranteed the contact tracing at work will be "Aggressive" and all "suspected cases" elevated to the state so they're aware. I'm more afraid of being caught in a dragnet when someone on campus suddenly "tests positive". God forbid you happened to have been tracked to a room with that person within the previous few days for maybe an hour or so. They had no symptoms, were obeying all the rules, whatever but two days later they started feeling iffy. So, just in case they got tested, it comes back positive. Now they go on a tangent trying to find all the people that person may have been in contact with in the past couple days, urge them to get tested or at least label them "suspected cases who should go home and self-quarantine. Of course the state finds out, they find out who was recommended to self-quarantine and whatever shit goes on with that, maybe you get a phone call from a state contact tracer who basically tells you you have to stay home and quarantine, they will keep checking on you to ensure compliance. Well, then we're fucked. If that happens during the time my wife is going through the prep work, and suddenly I'm hit with a quarantine, that fucks up all she was doing. She's gotta take hormone shots 2x a day for about a week or so leading up to when they "trigger" the release of as many eggs as possible then I go with her to...participate in my part...and they fuse egg and sperm, grow embryos for a few days then implant.... if I can't be there on that day because of some fucking quarantine that delays everything and we have to start over once I'm cleared.

It's not the "risk" of getting the virus I'm at all worried about, it's the risk of getting "contact traced". Basically, when our dept finally tells us their individual plan and it involves some time in office, I'm definitely going to ask to keep working from home til the IVF is over so there's no chance I get inadvertently caught in that trap.

Wow thanks Captain Obvious!! Now that shit is being looked at closely, Florida's numbers went way the fuck down. We went from over 15,000 just over a week ago to 4,700 today. Enough with the muzzle bullshit.

6
hollow_fang 6 points ago +6 / -0

To be fair, Florida did shut down a bunch of state-run testing sites the last few days because of the storm (which ended up mostly missing the state).

Though that can be used to argue; the more we test the more the cases “rise”

1
ElectricChad 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah the shut down a few but not all. Still, that's a huge decrease. Wondering if tomorrow it's gonna be back to muh highest numbers ever.

7
Toughsky_Shitsky 7 points ago +8 / -1

“I think you’re correct in that we’ve seen this in other disease processes, too. Really, in the HIV epidemic, somebody may have a heart attack but also have HIV — the hospital would prefer the [classification] for HIV because there’s greater reimbursement,” Redfield said

The HIV/AIDS scam model has always been what these leftist scumbags were following for the china flu .. because it is a tested scam that works and there are zero consequences for the fraud.

2
Sumarongi 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yup and Fauci pretty much invented that scam too

6
sustainable_saltmine 6 points ago +6 / -0

of course even if all deaths nationwide went down to essentially zero, Governors would pivot to cases and say "people shouldn't be openly exposed to a virus, even if the chance of anything actually happening as a result is minuscule, one death is too many, if it even just saves one person it's worth keeping us in shambles rather than open up and risk one death #StayLockedDown"

3
Madman2020 3 points ago +3 / -0

And then proceed to ignore increases in suicide and starvation. They're Demonrats for a reason.

3
Aquamine-Amarine 3 points ago +3 / -0

There's going to be a massive increase in mental health issues. Real mental health issues, not the phony shit leftists suffer from. People are depressed and anxious because they lost their job, or are forced to work from home not making nearly as much, they're living in fear every day not knowing if they'll have enough to pay the bills or buy food... How many of these people committed suicide because of this? How many of them were already on the edge, on the verge of a mental breakdown, and then this shit came along and made their lives worse? How many didn't get to say goodbye to dying family members, and now they're severely depressed and heartbroken? How many had their businesses destroyed, either by the shutdowns or the violent rioters?

Fuck Democrats. Fuck them all.

When are conservative news sites going to figure out that having ads popping up and crawling out of the woodwork DECREASES the perception of quality and credibility, and STOPS people from sharing links to their articles?

Absolutely no one I know would appreciate getting sent that tabloid-looking mess, and would think less of me for inflicting it upon them.

take out the fluoride in the water, put in zinc and multi-vitamins

CMS recently released data regarding the impact of coronavirus on Medicare beneficiaries. They paid $2.8 billion in fee-for-service claims, on average $25,255 per beneficiary. That number does not include individuals enrolled in Medicare Advantage. Hospitals definitely have the incentive. Interesting to see what chronic conditions those that are being hospitalized have in their infographic.
