The right people are making money (big business and politicians), hence why the lock downs keep happening. My neighbor is in sales (big sales conglomerate sells everything), he says only covid related things are selling and being manufactured. He has never seen anything like it, I think this is why so many repubs are complicit as well they are also getting richer.
