The hilarious irony in this is that HCQ production may have saved Kodak if their stock prices remain stable or continue increasing. At least someone seems to have some sense between their ears.
Funneling money into a vaccine when there's no evidence successful vaccines have ever been produced against coronaviruses is a fool's errand. The only one so far that seems it may work is the one produced in the UK based on a primate virus with SARS-CoV-2 proteins, but everyone (mostly China) is doing what they can to steal it to beat the British to market with something that's probably going to be contaminated with who-knows-what.
Contrast this with HCQ which has been around for many, many, many decades; it's issued prophylactically to missionaries going to malaria-infested regions; and we know the side effect profile rather well.
I think anyone in government and media opposing HCQ + zinc (at minimum) ought to be put on trial for murder and/or corruption charges.
they aren't exactly looking for a vaccine, though if they have one that they can convince people is at least as "effective" as the flu vaccine, they'll get it. They more want to plug Remdesivir since it's expensive, on-patent and they "claim" its getting good results with corona. Not the main drivers are the price tag, not how well it works. Is there even Zinc in Remdesivir?

Vaccines aren't cheap either, those Remdesivir is more expensive. However, Gilead is giving most of the Remdesivir doses away at a loss.
The vaccines absolutely will make whoever develops them an awful lot of money--and prestige--which is why they should be viewed with some degree of suspicion (and why I think the UK vaccine looks the most promising).

"I think anyone in government and media opposing HCQ + zinc (at minimum) ought to be put on trial for murder"
This is yet another reason they are trying to supress it. If its proven to work, lawsuits are coming.
Bring the lawsuits!!!
