You have to wear one unless you’re currently working out. So, I guess you don’t have to wear one if you just walk around telling everyone that you’re currently doing Kegels.
Only gym I know of nearby. Last weekend I went out and bought some dumbbells, resistance bands, an ab roller, and a floor mat though, and I’ll check out some exercise apps. Everything was like, $80 bucks. Cheap.
Get a freestanding pull up rack. Not a doorway model (too flimsy). Amazon usually has a model for around $100 that is also a dip station on the other side.
Even if you can't do pull ups yet, you can drag a chair under it and do assisted ones with one leg on the chair. Complete gamechanger.
good for you starting with dumbbells. free weight is the way to go.
i recommend you get a squat rack and olympic bar with some olympic plates. help you do leg and also bench press alone when you dont have a friend help you spot.
My Planet in Ohio chased me down when I walked in, yelling at me for not wearing a mask. I turned around and said cancel my membership now. They had the fucking showers blocked off anyway and that was starting to piss me off. We are supposed to be cleansiderate but we can't even shower off after working out, we have to go home covered in sweat and nasty from the gym. Total clown world.

I'd also recommend a high intensity yoga program as well. (I use DDPY).

Helped me during the 2mo gyms were shut down. Ended up improving my core better than any ab equipment at the gym.
