"SOCIAL distancing". Notice that it's not "safe" or "physical distancing".

THIS is a key point and one of the first items they implemented when they began marketing this pandemic. Yes, marketing. If you study or practice marketing, then you know what this means.

Social distancing is a public health term which means physical distancing. They should have used physical distancing from the beginning, its less confusing. You see physical distancing in CDC messaging now.

It's called doublespeak.

No, its just industry jargon.

industry jargon

That term literally wasn't a thing prior to this crisis. I've been sick plenty of times and not once have I ever been told by a doctor to "practice social distancing". It was a buzzword created to go along with this pandemic. It's not "industry jargon" because the "industry" never used that term prior to communists creating it and forcing it on the "industry". It's Commie doublespeak introduced to the "industry", if anything.
