You should be treating any public school system as nothing more than day care. Your kids aren't going to know shit coming out of public school. You really need to teach them about important things like economy, history, and probably science and math too. You'll also need to teach them life skills.

Lucky for you, it shouldn't take too long. You can teach someone the fundamentals of life very quickly.
