National Education Association and American Federation of Teachers must be destroyed and salt the Earth so they never foul public education again.

I was in public education for 20 years... the bullshit happening now is directly linked to no child left behind, diversity hustling and fag worship at the expense of statistical literacy, biologic understanding, and the ability to think.

The teachers unions even defend teachers if they literally rape children. They are pure evil and all deserve to be fired/arrested.

The teachers have been anti american commies even before that! 34+ years ago I had teachers who were full on commies!

Golden opportunity to dispense with the hordes theoretical Marxist indoctrinators and replace them with the presently-unemployed who have both intelligence and real-world life experience. Remember Reagan and the flight controllers!

No: they don't get a choice.

Show up or be fired.

Just like everyone else.

I think we need to differentiate between teachers and "Teachers Unions". Just like CCP does not actually represent the Chinese people, I deeply question if Teachers Unions represent the majority of the average working teacher.

I am a teacher and would have gone back in April. Distance learning sucks for all and teaching in a mask and expecting kids to wear them all day is a joke.

Am I in the majority? Probably not in my state, but I can imagine a lot of us are ready do ditch all this "new normal" shit and get back to work.

RedDuck 6 points ago +6 / -0

It all depends on the county. In Republican areas the teachers tend to want to keep teaching. The liberals want to hide in their homes.

But yeah distance "learning" sucks for everyone. Even liberals hate it. But they love having stupid causes to fight for because their lives have no inner purpose.

They don’t. My mother is a teacher. She says this is a total disaster and they should just go back to normal. Many of her co workers feel the same. They have no choice.

makemyday007 12 points ago +12 / -0

No they want the full paycheck and want to teach one day a week from home. Why is that so hard to understand? S/

Funny how teachers aren’t out protesting first responders, big box, or restaurant employees having to go to work when they are too scared to do their own jobs. I wonder why?

Because if they post anything anywhere or are seen in public with anything other than lefty views they get fired. Teachers need to put food on their families table too, and the shit pay is still better than frycook burger flipping.

I have a friend who teaches. He feels its his duty to try to reverse some of the bullshit put into their heads and teach critical thinking and open debate. They're worried even doing that might get them fired, but its the good they can do.

I got into it recently after 11 years of presiding over my own small business. The kids aren’t dumb, just pressured to stay quiet and appease as many people as possible.

We got busy straight away with Orwell amongst other writers/topics. Thankfully their writing improved as well.

More conservatives need to infiltrate public schools and bring back quality education. Take heart, a few are waking up.

I say let them close. Let private schools come together with a plan. Replace the shit being taught today.

I teach high schoolers. Absolutely ready to return. Then again, my opinion doesn’t matter since I’m voting for TRUMP.

Actually...I DESPERATELY want them to strike. Please do it! Please please please please? Uhmuhgawd, do it faggots! This is how we win. We break the back of the teacher's union. They strike and it will be mildly unpopular. Trump nullifies the strike, and TDS dictates that they persist. That's when the magic happens. Public sentiment will turn very quickly against them, then it's leadership arrests, asset seizures...Chads with truncheons tearing through finger-painted signs...pumpkin spice latte splattered all over the damn place. A fellow can still dream can't he?

The Republican Governors should issue an executive order under emergency powers to allow school vouchers for parents to send their kids to schools that will take them. See how fast the teachers get their asses back in the classroom.

commies0ride0free 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wrong target: the administration and/or unions make the decisions- most individual teachers do not get a say

UnlikelyWolverine 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not a teacher anymore, but still in schools as the librarian. I am definitely in the minority — especially being a white, male, educated conservative in my line of work; the colors of the hair and incessant screeching at conferences is crazy.

But that said, I was ready to go back after the initial two weeks after seeing this was noting more that a bad flu. Now I’m still stuck at home, trying to do my job remotely, which is making me work 10,000 times harder than before (but I do it, damn it because that’s what you do when you have a job) and waiting to see what the district wants to do. At best we go hybrid (part in person, part virtual), but the union is already rumbling about walking if they do that.

Luckily I’m now working in a state that doesn’t force my membership (unlike NJ), so fuck em, I’d cross that line in a heartbeat.

My local town sent a survey to all parents asking if they wanted a return to school or not. 80% voted in favor of students returning to school this fall. The school decided to remain at home anyway. Parents now asking "why did you even send us the survey in the first place, then?" It's nuts.

I_Used_to_be_me 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yup, that's my thought -- they were expecting far different results, and thought most parents aligned with all the ReeEeEEEeeEEing teachers who refuse to return to work

2
disgruntled_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ahem... "teachers" haven't been doing their jobs for decades.

Worthless deadbeats.

1
pseudocat 1 point ago +2 / -1

Exactly. I work in retail and we are forced to wear masks at my store. When all this first started happening alot of us were scared and panicked but we still showed up for work everyday with a smile. Kids ran rampant (still do) touching everything. people mindlessly perusing items, trying items on and returning them willy nilly. When we complained we were told to suck it up, get a new job, quit...go back to school get a real job etc etc.

Now those same people are supporting teachers being whiney fucking bitches. Ita super frustrating. Its it okay for me and coworkers to expose ourselves to this virus so you can try on bathing suits then its certainly okay to ask teachers to do the same to help educate. Fuck me

Executive order. Report for duty or summarily fired.
