The BLM thing is on point, but the rest of this is garbage. Most mask studies are inconclusive on effectiveness. That's a fancy scientist way of saying they don't fucking work.
I'm pretty sure the idea is that they won't stop you from getting it, but in theory stop others from getting it if you have it. What I'm not sure of, is why you're in public if you have it.
