My wife and I had our daughter's birthday party Saturday. Lo and behold, our 20 something entitled liberal nephew showed up out of the blue.

He's been thrown out before, but we figured he might behave this time due to it being a child's party.

Nope. He had so little self control that, not 15 minutes after he arrived, he goes on a completely unprovoked tirade against Trump and all of his family being vile racists. Completely full of profanity and in front of my 11 year old daughter. I, being in the kitchen doing something, only heard him when he began shouting really loudly. I knew shit had hit the fan when he started yelling expletives at my wife.

By the time I got into the room my wife and daughter had retreated into the bedroom to get away from the maniac. He was in full rage mode. I grabbed the pinata stick ( a sawed off broomstick) and whacked the SOB. I then picked him up to his feet and shoved him out the door. His mom, who is wholly to blame for raising the bastard that way, grabs all the gifts the two of them brought and left with the son.

Sorry, I just needed to vent. I've been fuming all weekend. How do these grown children expect us to take them seriously if they act like this? I'm supposed to be okay with people like this ruling out country? They can't not ruin a child's birthday party, let alone run a country.

Cartman's mom would of left the gifts. She didnt really raise him because she was always being plowed by anyone and everyone.

Jesus, dude. Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you handled it as best you could, though. Everyone should have a father like Longdongdonald1.

Well, I hope you all can work it out. And that he eventually learns. I was never quite like your nephew, but I was far left myself, and a real keyboard warrior. There’s (almost) always hope!

42

I only feel guilt for hitting him. Completely fine with cutting him off.

We'll probably have to cut off him mom, too. She's has a habit of inviting others to things that she's not hosting. Which is how he showed up Saturday.

I have a similar-ish situation. Held a birthday party for my daughter (16). My wife insisted we must invite my communist sympathizing sister. She showed up and was decent enough then a few days later she’s ripping us on social media for buffet style food and no masks. This dumb bitch ate the same food and didn’t wear a mask, but after the fact decided to rip us to her circle jerk group. The best part is she blocked me a few years ago and I can’t even respond.

So yeah, no physical removal but I can relate to some degree. She’ll never be welcome in my home again.

Also, we’re still voting Trump so fuck em

5
TuckerCarlsonsTie 5 points ago +5 / -0

Such a classic John Wayne flick. When he gives his future son-in-law the fireplace coal shoveler, hilarious. Also, Maureen O’Hara was so beautiful. “The Quiet Man” is one of my favorite movies to this day.

12
JKillen 12 points ago +12 / -0

I don't feel bad you struck him. I feel bad he may be too far gone to come back around. Lets pray for him.

3
Spectre001 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agreed with this. Ideally only use physical measures if they've been violent, and you were having to physically protect someone. Otherwise they can turn around and sue you for assault. Sadly, not a joke. Clown world.

That said, the little shit certainly has ZERO right to treat your family (or anyone for that matter) that way, especially in your own home! If you've asked him to leave and he isn't trying to do so, he's trespassing. Threaten to get the cops involved and have citations written. If you have to actually make the call, be sure to file a complaint. Much easier to prosecute with an existing complaint.

Pretty disgusting when it comes to doing that with family, but you've witnessed the kind of people they are. If his mother defends him after he does that then she's part of the problem.

Tell them they can be part of the family if they leave their politics at the door. It's unwelcome in your home, and they are unwelcome if they can't respect your rules and your family!

2
AceOfTrumps 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree to a point, but I've been in a situation where I called like a cop on a suicide person. You would have thought that they would send an ambulance or something but no the cops came. It's just never a good situation if the cops get involved typically you're better off smacking someone or some s*** like that it says kind of a weird scenario I understand but that's kind of real man it's the real deal

11
HeavenlyTrumpets 11 points ago +11 / -0

It's no sense of common decency.

It's also an inability to accept that people are allowed to see the world differently than you, and to even exist next to you while seeing the world differently.

Leftists of today are truly authoritarian and vile in that way.

1
Southern_Belle 1 point ago +5 / -4

Wanna know a secret?

They are not leftists. They are right wing.

WE are the left, anti-authoritarian, peaceful progressives who treat people equally.

It's another thing like the party switch.

5
Fabius 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nah. I'm pretty sure I'm right wing.

And there was no "party switch" , that's horseshit. The Democrats have always been racist. The only thing they did was change their propaganda in the 60's.

Here's a quote from LBJ, right when the parties "switched".

"“These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again."

The Democrats realized they couldn't stop the civil rights movement, so they decided to pander to them instead, and use house negroes to spread the message. They gave them all sorts of free shit for being black, and kept them on the voting plantation.

The whole country was Republican until the blacks with their newfound Democrat masters used that "political pull" to start flipping states. Then came the 24/7 white guilt in the 90's,the communism (which flipped the northeast), and the mass immigration to displace white people, which flipped CA and Southwest.

2
barwhack 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's semantics really: important but airy and shifty. The right v left thing is US-constitutionalist v marxist, practically. The confusion is that "liberality" means generosity: of personal freedoms when you speak of what constitutes the US, of inter-group equity when you speak of what constitutes the progressives. So it gets gummed up, because we're ALL liberal -- of something.

  • Right - has constitutional focus - is liberal (classical) - maximizes individual freedom - is permissive / egalitarian / representative / libertarian - The People embrace some form of republicanism ... their liberality is of imperfect representation and dangerous opportunity.

  • Left - is ideologically marxist - is liberal (progressive) - maximizes group equity - is hierarchical / forceful / aristocratic / tyrannical - The Group follows the noble leadership ... their liberality is of good feelz and bad outcomes.

The real divide, is over whether to apply force to accomplish ends. There's NEVER been a switch on that. The Right has always been pragmatic: what works to protect individual liberty, from all else. The Left has always been dogmatic: what advances the party as a collective, and its leader(s).

Do not apologize, do not back down. Let them come to you and if they don't, eff em. Who needs that drama, that toxicity in their lives? You and your nuclear family don't. Let them stew in their own vile juices. It will cook them.

Yeah.

That amount of Lack Of Insight / Lack Of Sympathy / Lack Of Humanity -- gets people hurt, after a while. Consider a restraining order, even. At LEAST call the cops, the next time they induce fear in your wife (maybe even this time, just to generate paper): the report of the incident is protective, in case you need to take legal action in the future.

You did fine; he's not injured or dead, yet he left. I'd consider "no more of ANY of that family, in your home"; forever.

3
Bluestorm83 3 points ago +3 / -0

You handled the situation well enough, but you need to follow through now. You need to make a rational, clear, explicit statement to each of them.

To him, that he is not permitted to speak to your wife that way, to not speak in front of your daughter that way, and that he is not allowed to attend any functions that you are hosting. Make it clear that it is up to YOU when he is allowed to be in the presence of your family or on your property, and you need to outline exactly which behavior he exhibited was unacceptable and why. Be reasonable, but firm and uncompromising. Keep a documented copy, if he claims that you threatened him.

And to his mother, you need to make it clear to her that while she may be welcome at an event that she is invited to, he is not. Let her know that YOUR functions and parties are for the people YOU invite, not the people that SHE invites, and that even if you tell her she can bring a person or two, he is explicitly forbidden from attending anything where you do not invite him personally. Tell HER why his behavior is unacceptable, with the same list you provided her son.

You showed them the door, but now you must Become the Wall.

MY daughter has forbade me from contacting her or any of my grandchildren, one of which is a young conservative (age 15) or she will place a restraining order against me. The 15 year old has told me on numerous occasions that I'm the only one he can speak to about his views and it's difficult for him living in a "liberal" household. If he was gay and reached out to his grandparent for advice, it would be just fine. Hypocrisy of the left in full display.
