I believe the reason why HCQ was banned in the US in blue states was purely political - demonize the drug to the nth degree so people will be too afraid to take it.

Then when all there people do die from the virus, which could have been prevented by using HCQ, blame thief deaths on Trump.

I wish there was a way the drug could be endorsed by a medical organisation, so it could be used country-wide.

As Trump said an a recent roundtable meeting with recovered patients, it would be good if someone other than DJT could praise the drug, so the left couldn't politicize it.
