OK, I did quite a bit of research on the topic(as a minnesotan pede).
Chris Kyle's book that the movie American Sniper was based off of had portrayed a story of a man that was heavily suggested to be Jesse Ventura. The jist was he was making comments that a bunch of marines should have died because they suck(or something along those lines). Chris Kyle wrote in his book that Ventura had received an ass whooping for said comments.
It was a big deal because a ton of networks dropped Venturas silly little conspiracy show and his chance to be a personality of network news.
He sued for big bucks, but just as he won the lawsuit, Chris Kyle was murdered.. Ironically by a fellow marine who he was shooting eith at a shooting range. Rumor has it the fellow marine had PTSD and shot Chris Kyle in a confused rage.
Anywho, Ventura was left to collect reparations from the widow's estate. It looks pretty bad to do that from a widowed marine. It exonerated Ventura, and according to him, he didn't make a dime and the millions he got from the estate and movie and book was just to cover lawyer fees. Now poor Jesse has no career, possibly no money, and just a legacy of a bad ass life. BIG MESS!
His conspiracy theories got him an ass whoopin at a UDT/SEALS event a few years back.
I thought they debunked that with a lawsuit?
I thought Ventura sued over the comments against him. Not the physical assault.
