I may not be understanding all of this mechanics at work but generally this sounds stupid and far-fetched.
What sounds more realistic: Fauci-----------just like any other government bought and paid for shill-----------is just getting kick backs for pushing vaccines by big pharma instead of pushing treatments that work and are cheap. That sounds much more plausible then this story.
I think you misunderstood. He owns half the patent, but poured $500M of our money (read: tax payer dollars) into it. So it's even more negative than if he had put his own money on the line. He's put yours, mine, and every other American's money on the line in order to make bank.
Always follow the money. One of the best shows ever is The Wire and the whole scenarios where they are chasing the money trail makes the show so much better than any other crime show. It's just amazing how much some people who own so much businesses were once leaders of drug gangs or still are.
Patent ownership is public info. I would expect a person in his position to have patents. No problem with that as long as there's no "conflict of interest" per current law.
It's only a few thousand dollars to write and submit a defensible patent.
The only real requirement is that someone of average skill in the particular field be able to read the patent and, based on that information, create the item.
Next, is the date of the publication of the patent - only one, maybe two seem to still be within the 20 year protection a patent affords.
So, for Kennedy's claim to be true, Fauci would have to be part of an organization and not directly named in the patent application/publication... and/or the patent to be not in the U.S.

He actually owns several patents. Unknown if he has a stake beyond a kickback on this one yet. But it will be public k owledge eventually if true
